Welcome to my practice!
I am a licensed psychologist located in San Francisco, with 15 years of experience helping individuals at various stages in adult life overcome challenges and live a more fulfilling and empowered life. Being a therapist isn’t just a job for me; I am honored to accompany people in their personal work, as they seek understanding and explore possibilities for meaningful change. I listen actively, with warmth and respect, and provide guidance and treatment planning tailored to each person’s needs, goals, and values.
Here’s a little more about me.
I grew up in Western Canada and lived in the United Kingdom and Eastern Canada before settling in the beautiful Bay Area. I completed my PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Ottawa, Canada, followed by postdoctoral research and clinical fellowships at the University of California, San Francisco and the Veterans Health Administration in Palo Alto, California. My research interests focused on enhancing access to mental health services in underserved populations, especially older adults, an issue I care deeply about.
In addition to my private clinical practice, I am a co-investigator and clinical supervisor at UCSF on a nationally funded research study on treating depression among rural older adults, the Senior Peer Alliance Rural Research on Wellness (SPARROW) project. I am also a certified Problem Solving Treatment (PST) trainer and offer consultation on the implementation of PST in collaboration with the National Network of PST Clinicians, Trainers, and Researchers.
